Married to Nitzan and mother of 3, Shimrit lives in Pardes-Hanna Karkur. After being a summer Shlicha in Richmond, VA, more than 20 years ago, Shimrit returned to P2G as Programs Coordinator and quicly felt home with friends and family in Israel and in our Jewish communities. Most of the time you can find her hiking or going down from cliffs.
Meaningful Volunteerism
Following the events of October 7th, Meaningful Volunteerism takes on a poignant significance as P2G volunteers come together to provide essential assistance to evacuees and IDF soldiers. This form of volunteerism extends beyond routine acts of charity, focusing on purposeful and impactful efforts to support those directly affected. Volunteers engage in activities that address the unique needs of evacuees and offer valuable assistance to the IDF, contributing to the well-being of individuals and the community at large during a challenging period. This dedicated involvement reflects a commitment to making a meaningful and positive impact, embodying the spirit of solidarity and compassion in times of crisis.

Chag Hanukkah
The partnership initiated Hanukkah events for the local community and evacuated families.
P2G volunteers and teen summer experience alumni engaged with the children of Neve Michael Children's Village in outdoor activities, and silent disco.
Families from the south and the north that are staying in Pardes-Hanna Karkur and Hadera, enjoyed a fun activity of decorating Hanukkah donuts (Sufganiha).
Operation Lone Soldier Smile
Operation Lone Soldier's Smile was establish to send a piece of home to the soldiers who are so far away from home. Each gift is a heartfelt reminder that even miles away, they're never far from our thoughts. We wanted to make every soldier feel a little closer to home.
